The Swaner Eco Center recently received an Honors Award for Building/Technology Systems from the Utah ACEC Chapter. This cutting-edge green building is in line for a LEED Platinum Certification and will be among the first buildings in the Intermountain West to achieve this level of sustainability. Colvin Engineering designed the state-of-art mechanical systems, including highly efficient cooling, low-flow and waterless plumbing fixtures, and solar collection panels on the roof that capture the sun's energy to heat water, melt snow, and provide radiant heat.
