Energy efficiency has always been a core component of Colvin Engineering’s designs, and we are enthusiastic proponents of energy benchmarking, which allows building owners to track how well their building’s energy consumption compares to other, similar buildings. The best tool for this is EPA’s Energy Star, but the date entry process has always been cumbersome and time consuming. On Tuesday, January 26, Rocky Mountain Power in partnership with Salt Lake City and the US Department of Energy are rolling out a program that automates the process and makes energy benchmarking easily available to every commercial and industrial customer. Follow the link for more information, and consider joining up and making a commitment to maximizing your Energy Star score.
