Fall 2015 Engineering Redefined

With the opening of the new S.J. Quinney College of Law building, the University of Utah has taken a giant step forward in innovation and energy efficiency. Featuring a one-of-a-kind ground water thermal storage system that can meet the entire cooling demand without refrigeration as well as Utah’s largest chilled beam installation, the building is projected to cost less than half as much to operate as a minimally code compliant building.
